About NSBE Dallas-Fort Worth
Since its founding by six visionary leaders in 1975, the National Society of Black Engineers has grown to more than 20,000 members globally, blossoming into a leading force in the lives of technical professionals and students on college campuses worldwide. The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers was established in 1992 and is focused on developing leaders in engineering and technology through training, professional development, mentoring opportunities, and career placement services. We strive to partner with local corporations, professional organizations, and collegiate chapters in the Dallas Metroplex to increase the pipeline for engineering and technical professionals.
Mission
The mission of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE Professionals) is to increase the number of culturally responsible students who excel academically to also succeed professionally and thereby make a positive impact in the community.
Objectives

Develop the technical and professional skills of our members

Increase and retain the number of minorities studying engineering at both the undergraduate and graduate levels

Promote public awareness of engineering and the opportunities for the black community in the professions

Function as a representative body on issues and developments that affect the careers of Black engineering and technical professionals
