COLLEGE INITIATIVE

The NSBE College Initiative Program aims to establish strong relationships between the chapter and Dallas-Fort Worth colleges and universities through two programs - College to Careers (C2C) and Bridge. Through these two programs, the chapter supports local NSBE student chapters by providing student members with professional development, mentorship, financial aid and community service opportunities. We need leaders to be the voice of these students. There are several capacities in which you can make an impact. Please see below for further information on our College Initiative Program.

BRIDGE PROGRAM

The NSBE DFW Bridge Program is the chapter's signature program created to help college students transition from student to professional. The Bridge Program connects rising college juniors and seniors with professional mentorship opportunities that help them navigate their careers with the goal of encouraging the students to continue to advance in STEM and remain connected to the NSBE DFW network. Mentors and mentees connect at least once a month throughout the year. Applications open each Fall.

COLLEGE TO CAREERS (C2C)

College to Careers ("C2C") is a mentorship and professional development program held each Spring and is targeted at assisting college juniors and seniors with transitioning into their careers. NSBE DFW proudly hosts this program in concert with The Dallas Society of Women Engineers (SWE), The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers DFW (SHPE) and NAF. C2C provides students with an array of professional development activities such as mock interviews, resume critique, career enablement talks from keynote speakers, panel discussions, and professional development workshops.
