
Alexandra Strong
Bio
Alexandra Strong is a Project Engineer at Turner Construction Company and a proud native of Cleveland, Ohio. A former collegiate basketball player, Alexandra brings the same competitive drive and team-oriented mindset to her career in Construction Management. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Kent State University, followed by a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Construction Management from Louisiana State University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Construction Management at Clemson University.
Alexandra is deeply passionate about advancing equity and inclusion within STEM fields, with a particular interest in the intersection of sports, engineering, and construction. Her commitment to creating opportunities for underrepresented groups in technical fields reflects her alignment with NSBE’s mission: to increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.
Through her work in construction, Alexandra is dedicated to building not only structures but also pathways for others to see themselves reflected in and empowered by the STEM landscape. Her passion for both engineering, construction management and sports continues to fuel her drive to be a catalyst for change in the industry.
