Travon Wilmer

Travon Wilmer is a Cybersecurity Engineer at Bell Flight and the current '25-26 Pre-College Initiative (PCI) Chair for NSBE DFW Professionals. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Alabama and multiple cybersecurity certifications, including CompTIA Security+. His expertise includes Linux, process improvement, and digital systems. Travon joined NSBE in 2017 at the collegiate level, serving as PCI Chair and Chapter President. Inspired by collegiate peers to attend his first NSBE conference. After attending the conference, he committed to advancing the organization’s mission. In his current PCI role, he hopes to foster interest in STEM among K–12 students, encouraging them to believe they can excel in technical careers. An active volunteer, Travon leads by example, sharing approaches that have worked for him while continuing to grow himself. Motivated by the limited STEM access he had as a youth, he is inspired by what today’s students can achieve with modern tools. Outside of work, he enjoys tinkering with technology, gaming, and traveling.
