Alice D. Walker is a principal systems engineer at Raytheon Missile Systems supporting Land Weapon Systems. She is the reliability and systems safety section head, leading a team of 12 engineers. She is also responsible for coordinating and conducting technical studies and analyses to support both production and development activities in relation to reliability, maintainability and system safety for various programs.
Alice holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Kansas State University, and a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University. She also holds a certificate in Global Systems and Sustainable Organizations from Southern Methodist University, and is a fully qualified Raytheon Six Sigma Specialist.
In addition to her support of improving diversity and inclusion in the workplace, Alice is an avid supporter of her community. She a lifetime member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and is a member of several professional and community service organizations, including the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE), Society of Women Engineers (SWE), and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She also supports the Komen Race for the Cure, March of Dimes, AIDS LifeWalk, UNCF, and tutoring/mentoring. She and her husband, Cedric Flemming, love to travel in their freetime.
